East Rock West Rock: New Haven’s Music Week will take place October 9 – 18 and will feature a week full of musical performances celebrating all genres, including Hip-hop, Rock, Jazz and Blues, played by both national and local musicians. East Rock West Rock will host over 140 bands throughout the week and plans on bringing in an extra 2,000-5,000 people per night into the city. The East Rock West Rock performances will take place at bars, restaurants and performance venues throughout New Haven. With all the extra people in the city and in bars, restaurants, and venues, East Rock West Rock views this as a great opportunity to generate more business in the city of New Haven.

Music Week is a collaborative effort, headed by Academy Printwear, a local merchandising company, and Patrick Mansfield of Anna Liffey’s with support from a variety of other organizations and venues. The group’s mission is to celebrate New Haven’s vital and growing music scene by collectively promoting the week full of diverse performances. Organizer Patrick Mansfield of Anna Liffey’s says, “We want to have some memorable music moments and most important we want to have fun.” The participants include Anna Liffey's, Bar, Café 9, Center Street, Christies, Gotham City, Ivy Lounge, Keys to the City, Lansdowne, Playwright, Black Bear, Stella Blues, Alchemy, Hula Hanks, Rudy's ,Skappo ,The Space, Toad's Place,The Shubert Theatre, Neighborhood Music School, Elevate, Temple Grill, Urban Outfitters and more.
