New Haven Green
Before my eyes a little slice of heaven opened up closer to home. Now you don’t have to go far if you’re on this side of the tracks.
In the shape of fried tube-shaped pastry filled with goodness reserved for the gods, Libby’s offers up too many flavors of cannoli to choose from in one visit.I suggest several trips to savor the likes of Raspberry, Strawberry, Coconut, Peanut Butter, Chocolate covered, M&M dipped for the kids (so I’m a little big for my age), chocolate mousse, Hazelnut, Cookies and cream and of course, regular and chocolate. Strewn like confetti, stand-in sweets nestle side by side to the proper little soldiers hoping one day they too can be a cannoli. Don’t get me wrong all Libby’s desserts are good but, let’s face it, they don’t hold a candle to the Sicilian staple.

For the Wooster Street disciples, Libby’s has added a new location in North Haven. Fresh baked deliveries are trucked over from New Haven daily.

Naturally, Italian ice and gelato are in stock but…the cannoli…ah, the cannoli are worth traveling for. She will diet tomorrow… Ps. credit cards are accepted at this location~ 310 Washington Avenue North Haven CT 203-234-2530
